Now, together with the developers and builders, we can move forward towards the start of the mixed, green Merwede city district in Utrecht. As the leader of the design team, BURA has been involved in the development of Merwede from the start. Marco Broekman is a supervisor. The project was commissioned by the Merwede Owners’ Collective: Gemeente Utrecht, Synchroon, AM Gebiedsontwikkeling, Greystar, Boelens de Gruyter, BPD | Bouwfonds Gebiedsontwikkeling, G&S Vastgoed, Janssen de Jong Projectontwikkeling, Lingotto, Round Hill Capital and 3T Vastgoed. BURA is working together with the municipality of Utrecht, Mark Rabbie, Merwede LAB, Stadkwadraat BV, LOLA Landscape Architects and the Merwede Quality Team and various advisors on the creation of this new city district.
