(RUDI)FUN with Geert
I made a functionmap feeling inspired by a recent knowledge event about the RUDIFUN (fun!) dataset at the PBL Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving and my work on function mixing at BURA. It shows the presence of the three components of a function mix (housing, work and services) on a neighbourhood level.
The intensity of red shows the housing part, blue the working part and yellow the services. Orange indicates a mix of housing and services, purple housing and working. Green are work and service areas, brown indicates a the presence of significant parts of all three functions.Using this we can not only see the level of mixing in a neighbourhood, but also an indication of the functions present. This can help when thinking of programming on a city level, or when thinking about different city milieus.
