Isaac Baartkwartier Zaanstad

Team BURA has been selected to develop a vision for the Isaac Baartkwartier, a sub-area in ‘De Maakgordel’ of the Achtersluispolder.
The four land owners and the municipality of Zaanstad are joint clients.

In accordance with the Achtersluispolder concept development perspective, the Isaac Baartkwartier must develop into an iconic working district, which represents ‘new ways of working and industry’, at the Achtersluispolder, as a mixed living-working area. The BURA team consists of BURA (urban planning and landscape architecture), Stad2 (feasibility and development strategy) and Gabrielle Muris (expert working areas). The vision will be developed in the period October to December 2023.
