BURA in publication

BURA was part of two project teams that conducted research by design. Both studies were explained at the closing meeting and are also included in the beautiful publication: Transitions. The design research HMC2 has produced an inspirational document, with valuable findings for the future of work locations with a Higher Environmental Contour (HMC). Together with Stec Groep and the Province of South Holland, the opportunities for more intensive use and more sustainable use of HMC sites have been mapped out.

In addition, work was done in collaboration with Archistad (Ton van der Hagen) on the study: Densification as enrichment. At the initiative of CAST Architectuurcentrum, this project has included an exploration with a citizen and expert panel into possibilities for qualitatively fleshing out the urbanization ambitions of the Municipality of Tilburg. An important insight is that there are opportunities to work on strengthening the urban structure by means of the densification task. Hand in hand urban densification, greening, space for the economy, working on the mobility transition and social challenges.

All results of the voucher scheme have been brought together in the publication: Transitions. The results of both studies were presented during the closing meeting of the Spatial Design Voucher Scheme of the Creative Industries Fund NL in Amersfoort.
