BURA EXPERTISE #2

At BURA we work on a sustainable future and we focus on the urban environment. As an office for urbanism and landscape architecture we use design and research to solve complex urban problems. Over the last 10 years the office developed expertise in a variety of fields related to urgent societal and spatial assignments.

This week we focus on ‘Productive Milieus’.
Productive Milieus are crucial for the functioning of urban regions. And in fact they have a sustainable and social value besides their economic function. BURA is actively engaged in thinking about the future needs for a sustainable economy, together with a network of economic experts and as a partner in the Coalition Ruimte voor Werk.
We create regional and citywide visions for future-proof working milieus, we develop strategies to intensify existing working locations at area level and transform strategic located business parks into high-quality mixed-use living and working environments. In this way, we incorporate a spatial view on theme’s like circularity, logistics, making industry, knowledge development and education. And we always search for the best opportunities in combining assignments in relationship to energy, mobility, housing and nature.
