Area Vision Schaarsbergen
This week, BURA is in Schaarsbergen for two days to hold talks with residents and work sessions with the working group. In doing so, we try to speak to as many people as possible and get to know Schaarsbergen and its surroundings. During these days, we will have a guided tour by the forester, sketches with residents and, at the end, there will be a residents’ evening where information gathered will be presented!
BURA has been selected to make an Area Vision for the village of Schaarsbergen, in Arnhem. The Area Vision will be drawn up together with, and commissioned by, the Schaarsbergen Village Council through an interactive process. We see in this assignment a special opportunity to contribute to both the landscape and the village community. Together, we want to look for a development perspective that captures future challenges, takes into account the needs of residents and respects the natural and experiential value of the landscape.
The area vision must capture the values and qualities of Schaarsbergen and explain development opportunities, with the perspective of the residents and entrepreneurs taking centre stage. It provides the village council with tools to respond proactively to developments coming to the village. And serves as a starting point for discussions with other stakeholders in the area, including the Ministry of Defence/Rijksvastgoedbedrijf, Municipality of Arnhem and Province of Gelderland.
