Project updates
Almere Pampus
Team PAMPUS* (a collaboration between Bright, BURA and Polyfern) has been selected to develop an above-ground and underground Master Plan for Almere Pampus, commissioned by the Municipality of Almere and the Central Government Real Estate Agency.
Almere Pampus, district of the Future
Almere Pampus will become the district of the future. A new district with 25,000 to 35,000 homes and a large number of jobs and associated facilities. 2050 is the dot on the horizon for the development of Pampus. A large part of the area development must then be completed. At the same time, 2050 is also the dot on the horizon for the goals and ambitions that we as a society have set, or better: demanded. By 2050 we must be climate neutral, climate adaptive, biodiverse, and circular. This means that the bar is high for Pampus.
Cooperation
Given the ambition and complexity of the assignment, we have decided to set up a broad and integral design team: Team PAMPUS*. This design team consists of the design offices Bright, BURA and Polyfern. With this team we combine complementary knowledge, experience, and competencies in the field of transition tasks, design research, landscape design, spatial strategy, and urban planning expertise. In the coming months, Team PAMPUS* will work intensively with the municipality of Almere, the Central Government Real Estate Agency, and all other stakeholders to further develop the Master Plan for the surface and subsurface for Almere Pampus, including an elaboration for the first phase of 7,500 homes.
