BURA (formerly known as marco.broekman) has been asked by the municipality of Delft to do a study on 'Delft Campus station area' ('Stationsomgeving Delft Campus') in Delft. The current station Delft Zuid will be renamed Delft Campus, showing the ambition to strengthen the relation between the station and the campus of the TU Delft. 

We help setting a clear project definition, matching short, middle and long term developments with the ambitions of the urban transformation of the station its surroundings.

The station is positioned in working district Schieoevers Noord  (ca. 75 ha.), which will develop into a lively working-living quarter. Forthcoming adjustements in the station area should fit, facilitate and reflect the developments of the context.

The urban densification requires a fundamental mobility change. The station is a key factor in puting pedestrian and the cyclist central changing the current motor-vehicle-oriented Schieoevers Noord.

Seen as a central node Delft Campus provides a strategic location to realize a modality shift and function as a mobility hub for a variety of transportmodes and new mobility concepts. From this perspective the study defines the potential of the location as an entrance to a future urban centre.
