The consortium of FABRICations, BURA (formerly known as marco.broekman), University of Antwerp and Common Ground finished the project "Metabolism of Antwerp, city of streams”. The partners City of Antwerp, OVAM, Port Authority, team Flemish architect and “Ruimte Vlaanderen” required new insights at the intersection of urban development and spatial challenges in the context of Antwerp.
BURA (formerly known as marco.broekman) focussed on the socio-historical as well as the socio-economical analysis, and contributed to strategic design approaches for the future of Antwerp.
The final report approaches the city from four angles:

• Vital economies & Construction Chains
• Climate Adaptation & Drinkwater
