The reason for the project Value Engineering Almere Centrum is a rapidly developing city, with a station area that is lacking quality. (see project Loket Knooppunten Almere). To develop a shared agenda with all stakeholders, the Value Engineering project has been set up. With intensive workshops with stakeholders, all crucial elements (“bouwstenen”) of the station and the station area have been unraveled. This has resulted in three spatial and functional development scenarios, which served as input for the drafting of a letter of intent with a project definition for the short and the (middle) long term.
