Kruisberg Doetinchem

BURA (formerly known as marco.broekman) has been asked by the municipality of Doetinchem to make a vision for the redevelopment of the former penitentiary ‘De Kruisberg’ in Doetinchem, which has been left vacant since 2016. De Kruisberg is located on the border of the city of Doetinchem and on the edge of the protected ecological area Gelders Natuurnetwerk (GNN). Through creative workshops with representatives of atelier Rijksbouwmeester, the municipality of Doetinchem, Rijksvastgoedbedrijf and stakeholders in the neighborhood, BURA (formerly known as marco.broekman) will develop a vision document and vision maps for the De Kruisberg and its surrounding area, which will give direction to the intended development for this beautiful historic site.
